El seu treball amplia el camp de l\u2019arquitectura des de l\u2019escala del cos hum\u00e0 fins a la de la ciutat, situant el clima com a factor central del projecte arquitect\u00f2nic .<br><br>A partir del llibre <em>Histoire Naturelle de l\u2019Architecture<\/em>, la confer\u00e8ncia proposa una interpretaci\u00f3 hist\u00f2rica en qu\u00e8 factors com les epid\u00e8mies, l\u2019agricultura o els recursos energ\u00e8tics han condicionat l\u2019evoluci\u00f3 de les formes urbanes i constructives. En aquest marc, es planteja que l\u2019arquitectura neix de la necessitat de generar microclimes habitables i que, avui, ha de respondre als reptes del canvi clim\u00e0tic.<br><br>Mitjan\u00e7ant diversos projectes recents, Rahm exposa estrat\u00e8gies de disseny basades en principis f\u00edsics \u2014com la convecci\u00f3, l\u2019evaporaci\u00f3 o la radiaci\u00f3\u2014 aplicades a l\u2019urbanisme i a l\u2019edificaci\u00f3.
